Tkalčićeva Street
Tkalčićeva Street, the heart of Zagreb, has always been a place of meetings, trade and stories. This street connects Kaptol and Gradec, two historic settlements from which our beloved city of Zagreb was born. Our story begins at this location, where history meets the present. One of the legends circulating on Tkalčić Street tells of a young girl named Marija. Marija lived in Tkalčićeva Street at a time when Zagreb was still divided into Kaptol and Gradec. Legend has it that Marija was known for her beauty and kindness, and often helped people from both settlements, bringing them herbal preparations and medicines that she made herself. But the story also has its secretive side. Maria's preparations were not ordinary medicines. According to ancient records, Mary possessed secret knowledge about herbs that was passed down through generations of women in her family. It was said that her hands could feel the vibrations of the earth and her spirit could hear the whispers of plants. The plants she used had powerful healing and magical properties. Marija often said that her preparations not only heal the body, but also bring people together. Her home was a place where people from Kaptol and Gradec gathered, sharing stories and laughter. Some believed that Mary had the ability to see the future and that her work was guided by unseen forces. Inspired by this story, we decided that the story of our gin begins here, in the heart of Tkalčićeva Street. Our gin, like Marija's preparations, brings people together. Each bottle carries with it a part of the history and spirit of Tkalčićeva Street, where Kaptol and Gradec used to meet, and where friends and families meet today. In every drop of our gin, you will feel the story that began here, in the street where the history of Zagreb began. Our gin is not just a drink, but a symbol of unity and love for our city. Come and join the story that brings people together, just as Tkalčićeva Street brought Kaptol and Gradec together.

Tomićeva Street
In the heart of Zagreb, Tomićeva Street connects old and new, past and present. This street, which leads towards Lotrščak, hides many stories. One of them is the story of the Greek cannon. Legend has it that once upon a time, during the siege of the city, a cannon from the Lotrščak tower saved Zagreb. While the enemies were planning their attack, one gunner decided to fire a shot into the enemy camp. The bullet hit the rooster who was just cooking soup for the enemy soldiers. In fear and disbelief, the enemies retreated, thinking that the people of Zagreb were incredibly accurate shooters. But it was no ordinary battle. Stories say that the gunner was under the protection of the old gods of the city, whose spirit still guarded Lotrščak. When he fired the shot, a magical force directed the bullet towards the rooster, demonstrating the supernatural power that protected Zagreb. Every day exactly at noon, the Grički top reminds residents and visitors of Zagreb of this legend. The sound of the cannon echoes through the streets, symbolizing the strength and steadfastness of the city. Standing under the Lotrščak tower, we can feel the history and stories that shape Zagreb's identity. The Greek cannon still preserves the spirit of the city today, connecting the past with the future. The sound that echoes every day reminds us of the incredible strength of will and the protection of invisible forces that watch over our city.

Stone Door
The stone gates, the old entrance to the city, are guardians of history and legends that shape the identity of Zagreb. Let's start from here, from the heart of Gornji Grad, where the ramparts that protected the Gradec settlement, one of the oldest parts of today's Zagreb, once stood. In the foggy morning hours, when the first light of day would touch the stone walls, the residents of Gradec talked about mysterious phenomena. Legend has it that the Stone Gate was a passage between our world and the spirit world. Whispers of unseen beings could be heard at night, and many claimed to have seen shadows pass through the door. One of the most famous legends related to the Stone Gate tells of Kikimor, the guardian spirit. Kikimora was the guardian of the door, always awake, ready to protect Gradec from evil forces. Stories say that she was only visible to the pure of heart, and her presence brought a sense of peace and security. The green hill on the coat of arms represents the Gradec hill, and the fort with three towers symbolizes the settlement that flourished here. That fort, with its open gates, has always symbolized the hospitality and readiness of the citizens to provide protection to every guest and refuge to the would-be traveler. The stone door is not only a physical entrance, but also a symbol of welcome and openness. Today, as throughout the centuries, the gates of Gradec invite all visitors to discover the history and beauty of Zagreb. In the spirit of that tradition, our store Brix, located right next door, continues the story of hospitality and connection. At Brix, every product carries a part of our city's history. Just as the doors of Gradec have always been open to everyone, we also want to welcome every visitor, offering them a taste of Zagreb and a story they will take with them. The open door on the coat of arms of Gradec is not only a symbol, but also a reality. In the heart of Zagreb, where history meets the present, hospitality is an enduring tradition. Welcome to our city, and welcome to Brix, where the stories of the past live on today.

Croatian Inventors
Croatia, a small country with big minds. Throughout the centuries, our inventors have shaped the world with innovations that have changed the course of history. This is a story about people whose ideas still live today in the everyday things we take for granted. Faust Vrančić, a man ahead of his time, dreamed of flying. His 'Homo Volans', the first functional parachute, was not only about flying, but also a pioneering step towards conquering the sky. Today, skydiving is a sport and a necessity, but in Vrančić's time, it was a brave leap into the unknown. Nikola Tesla, a genius whose mind was far ahead of his time. His inventions and visions shaped the modern world. Tesla's alternating current, wireless power transmission and many other inventions make him one of the most important scientists of all time. No, Tesla is not just an inventor, he is a symbol of passion for science and unlimited imagination. Slavoljub Penkala, the man who made the world a practical place. His inventions, such as mechanical pencils and fountain pens, have become an integral part of the daily lives of millions of people. Penkala showed how innovations can be simple and yet incredibly useful. Ruđer Bošković, one of the greatest minds of the 18th century, was a pioneer of modern physics and astronomy. His theory about the nature of force and matter led a scientific revolution. In his works, Bošković connected physics, mathematics and philosophy, creating the foundations for many later discoveries. Croatian inventors have left an indelible mark on the world. Their inventions, their passion and their boundless imaginations shape the world as we know it today. Even today, the spirit of innovation lives in all of us, inspired by their incredible achievements. Croatia, a small country with great minds, has been hiding secrets for centuries that are revealed through incredible innovations. Throughout history, our inventors, guided by an invisible force of inspiration, have shaped the world with their ingenious ideas that have changed the course of history. This is a story about people whose minds opened doors to unknown worlds, and whose ideas still live today in the everyday things we take for granted. Faust Vrančić, a man ahead of his time, was more than an inventor - he was a dreamer who could feel the breeze of the sky and the secret heights. His 'Homo Volans', the first functional parachute, was not only an innovation but also a magical key to unlock the skies. In the days when people stood firmly on the ground, Vrančić bravely jumped into the unknown, guided by a mysterious voice that whispered to him that it was possible to reach the clouds. Today, skydiving is a sport and a necessity, but in Vrančić's time, it was a mystical flight towards the stars. Nikola Tesla, a genius whose mind was not bound by the laws of nature, stepped into the light with ideas that defied time and space. His alternating current, wireless energy transmission and many other inventions seem to have come from a world where physical laws bend to the will of genius. Tesla is not only an inventor; he is a symbol of unlimited imagination and passion for science, a guide through the dark corridors of the unknown, where the secrets of the universe were revealed like stars in the night sky. Slavoljub Penkala, the man who made the world a practical place, understood the secrets of simplicity. His inventions, such as the mechanical pencil and fountain pen, were not just tools; they were bridges between thoughts and paper, between ideas and reality. Penkala knew how hidden magic lies in everyday things, how innovations can be simple and yet incredibly useful, because they are born from the whispers of the spirit of creativity. Ruđer Bošković, one of the greatest minds of the 18th century, was a pioneer of modern physics and astronomy, but also a mystic who saw in his works the union of all things. His theory of the nature of force and matter was not merely a scientific theory; was the discovery of the secret harmony of the universe. In his works, Bošković connected physics, mathematics and philosophy, discovering a world where dreams and science intertwine, creating the foundations for many later discoveries. Croatian inventors left an indelible mark on the world, not only because of their inventions, but also because of the mysterious flame that burned in their souls. Their passion, their boundless imagination and ability to see beyond the horizon shaped the world as we know it today. Even today, the spirit of innovation lives in all of us, inspired by their incredible achievements, in a world where magic and science meet in every new invention.
